Full Day Guide Trip-Caney Fork River or the Elk River: 2007 Rates Drift Boat/Wade Trips

Individual Lessons:
Introduction to Fly Fishing (the basics) -3 hours $120
Class includes overview of basic equipment, need-to-know knots, fishing techniques, fly casting instruction (roll cast and basic cast)
Casting Instruction-$40/hour (2 hour minimum) Includes video tape feedback.

Smoky Mountain Retreat- Townsend
(May 9-11, 2008)
We will caravan from Nashville on Friday at 4:00 pm and check into our rustic cabins located streamside in Townsend, Tennessee. Wine social (included in the price of trip) gives everyone a chance to get to know each other.
Saturday morning we will begin casting instruction covering the roll cast and the basic cast. Instruction will take place on the lawn as we pick up the basics.
After a quick break for lunch, we’ll move to a nearby Smoky Mountain stream (outside of the National Park) and practice our new found techniques on the water.
Videos will be made and reviewed with each student to point out areas of improvement.
Students will be able to cast rod weights #3 thru #10, from a variety of manufacturers including Winston, Sage, Temple Fork and Orvis to find just the right fit.
Returning to the cabin for the evening indoors class, we’ll cover equipment basics, need to know knots, fishing techniques and fly selection.
We’ll return to the river Sunday morning for a half day of fishing (outside of the National Park) and streamside picnic lunch before our return trip to Nashville.
All inclusive price: $450
A 50% deposit is required, refundable up to 30 days prior to trip.
