Welcome to Southern Brookies Fly Fishing
Southern Brookies is based in Nashville, Tennessee and operated by Susan Thrasher (FFF Certified Casting Instructor). Whether you're a beginner or experienced fly fisherman, we are dedicated to making a float trip or walk-in day on the river an unforgettable experience. Choose from a relaxing float down the Caney Fork or Elk River on our Clackacraft drift boat or experience fly fishing from a kayak. A streamside lunch is included in all packages. We are in the process of constructing a new school located on the Caney Fork River.   A  casting pond is under construction located behind the school.  Easy access to the river is just a few steps away. We are excited about the progress and will be offering instruction at the new location beginning in the Spring of 2012.
A variety of instructional courses are also available including individual instruction, full day group classes and weekend schools.  All are structured to give students the confidence and knowledge needed to fish on their own.
Choose a guided trip using a sit-on-top fishing kayak, Riverhawk or Clackacraft drift boat.  Wade trips can also be fun way to explore the river.	Guided trips are available throughout the year!
MUSIC CITY FLY GIRLS Susan Thrasher and Nikki Mitchell are the co-founders of the Music City Fly Girls, Nashville's only monthly fly fishing get together for women. All women with an interest in fly fishing, beginners to experienced anglers, are welcome to join us each month for informative meetings on fly fishing in Tennessee. We discuss places to fish around Nashville, basic fly fishing "need to know" facts, future events, and other fly fishing related topics.
